An Intimate Austin Wedding at Chapel Dulcinea - Kim and John

I have a thing for intimate weddings at Chapel Dulcinea.  I shot my first ever wedding there, I got married there, and I've captured so many beautiful moments at this small open air chapel on the outskirts of Austin.   Kim and John are amazing together.  They're the type of people that you spend time with, and walk away from just feeling better.  Their path to that chapel on a beautiful spring day involved 11 years of twist and turns and life getting in the way.  It's so easy for me, as a wedding photographer, to see couples on their biggest day, and forget about everything that they've been through on the way to that day.  I got into this business because I wanted to tell stories that were real and honest, and I hope that my couples feel that in their wedding photos.  Life can be messy, and is rarely perfect, but it's so cool to witness a couples story culminate on a day that IS perfect.  When they're surrounded by people that love them and it all comes together in  moment that makes it all so worth it.  Thank you to Kim and John for showing me that.  I'm going to wrap it up with this line from Kim when I asked her to tell me a little of their story.

"Finally, in August of 2017, John proposed. Nothing grand. No sunset or cruise ship.  Just love.  Lots of love."

And THAT'S what it's all about people!
